New Delhi/Jaipur: A case related to espionage has come to light in the action of Rajasthan Intelligence. An employee working at Chhabua Air Force Station in Dibrugarh, Assam has been arrested. It is alleged that he was gathering information for Pakistan. At present his interrogation is going on.

How did the matter come to light?

The investigation began in January, when a person was arrested from Jaisalmer. During interrogation he took the name of Sumit Kumar. After this the agencies kept an eye on him.

Who is accused?

Accused Sumit is a resident of Prayagraj. The age is said to be around 36 years. He worked as an MTS at the Air Force station and was associated with civil work.

How was confidential information being sent?

Investigation has revealed that the accused used to share information through social media platforms. He was collecting activities and other important information related to the base and sending it to his contacts in Pakistan.

How long was this network running?

During interrogation, it was revealed that Sumit was in contact with Pakistani agents since 2023. He used to share information in exchange for money. The agencies suspect that he has sent sensitive data out several times.
