National News: The Supreme Court clearly said that illegal cutting of forests in hilly areas is becoming a disaster for humanity. The court remarked that when the forests are destroyed, the rivers will change their direction and the mountains will slide. This cutting is not just breaking the law but also playing with nature. The court expressed special concern over the situation in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. After continuous rains in these states, landslides and floods destroyed dozens of villages. Road connectivity was lost, houses were destroyed and common people became homeless. The court said that all this is nature's anger.

The Supreme Court issued notices to the Central Government, NDMA and state governments. The court asked why strict action has not been taken against illegal felling till now. The court said that if the forests are not protected, the situation will become more terrible in the coming years.

People's problems increased

Due to landslides and floods, the life of the common people has become difficult. Somewhere roads were broken, somewhere bridges were washed away. Farmers lost their crops and daily wage labourers became unemployed. The court said that this trouble is not just the result of weather but also human negligence. Studies in schools came to a halt and children had to be taken to safer places. Many people were forced to take shelter in relief camps. There was a crisis of drinking water and food in every village. The poor section was affected the most and their voice is not reaching the government.

Environmental balance is deteriorating

Scientists say that forests are nature's shield. Trees hold water and maintain soil. If trees are cut down, soil will be washed away and rivers will overflow. The court said that this imbalance in the environment is also a danger for future generations.

Experts say that the speed of melting of glaciers is also increasing. Due to the loss of greenery of mountains, the habitat of birds and animals has been destroyed. Where cold winds used to blow, now dust and heat are spreading. These conditions show that man has axed his own feet.

Save the forest, save humanity

The Supreme Court warned that if the government still does not take action, the situation will get out of control. The court said that saving forests is not just a matter of law but a question of human life and livelihood. This is the time when humanity will have to reconcile with nature. The court also said that the government will have to make strict laws and enforce them.

It is important to make people aware at the local level so that they can protect trees. Saving the environment is not just the responsibility of the court or the government but it is the duty of every person. If steps are not taken now, future generations will not forgive us.
