In a distressing incident in Telangana’s Siddipet district, a 20-year-old man has been accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl. The accused, identified as Sharfuddin, was apprehended by police shortly after the assault. A case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. “We have registered a POCSO case against Sharfuddin and sent him to judicial remand,” police confirmed in a statement to the press.
