T. Raja Singh, known for his strong and vocal presence in Telangana politics and representing Goshamahal in the state assembly, has officially stepped down from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His resignation follows the announcement of N. Ramchander Rao as the new Telangana BJP President—a move that reportedly upset Singh. In response, he submitted his resignation to the current state party chief, Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

“Don’t Mistake Silence for Agreement”: Raja Singh

Announcing his decision on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Raja Singh posted two letters addressed to party leadership. In his message, he emphasized that “silence should not be seen as agreement.” He clarified that his stand is not just personal but also reflects the sentiments of dedicated BJP workers and supporters who now feel disappointed.

Still Committed to Hindutva and Goshamahal

Despite parting ways with the BJP, Raja Singh affirmed his dedication to the cause of Hindutva and pledged to continue working for the well-being of the Hindu community and residents of Goshamahal. “Though I’m leaving the party, my commitment to our culture, religion, and people remains strong,” he wrote in his resignation letter.

A Tough but Thoughtful Move

Calling his exit a difficult yet necessary step, Singh stated, “I am not only speaking for myself, but for all the hardworking party members and voters who had faith in our leadership and feel let down today.” He hinted that the leadership shift did not align with the hopes of many grassroots supporters.

An Appeal to Top BJP Leaders

T. Raja Singh also made a respectful appeal to senior leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and B.L. Santhosh. He urged them to reconsider the party’s direction in Telangana, stating that the state is ready for political change—but it requires the right leadership to make it happen. He concluded his note with a patriotic message: “Jai Hind. Jai Shri Ram.”
