Uncovering child trafficking! 95 children illegally being taken to Bihar rescued in Ayodhya

A total of 95 children have been rescued, who are between 4-12 years and they are brought without any consent letters from parents.

A shocking incident has raised concerns surrounding child trafficking after Uttar Pradesh Child Commission on Friday rescued at least 95 children from Ayodhya who were allegedly being transported from Bihar to Uttar Pradesh. 

According to the statement of Chairperson Sarvesh Awasthi of Ayodhya Child Welfare Committee, all the children have been rescued. Reportedly, all of them were between 4-12 years.

The CWC Chairperson while speaking to media persons said that a total of 95 children have been rescued who are between 4-12 years and they are brought without any consent letters from parents. He also said that their parents have been contacted and will be handed over once they arrive.

Previously, the Uttar Pradesh State Child Commission in Gorakhpur saved a group of children from Bihar who were being sent to madrasas in several states. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights ordered the state children's panel to rescue the children.
