Let us inform you that Sanjay Saroj was jailed in March 2018 after being detained by the ATS in connection with a terror funding investigation. Ten persons were detained by UP ATS on suspicion of having ties to Lashkar-e-Taiba. Following this, Sanjay Saroj was released on bail and started participating in politics. The spouse of Sanjay Singh ran an independent campaign for the women's chairman post and was elected.

Sanjay and politics!

Sanjay began his political career with the SP and attempted to obtain a ticket for the chairmanship; however, the party rejected him due to an issue pertaining to the support of terrorism.
