UP News: In a harrowing incident from Bareillys Faridpur area, a woman was allegedly lured from a Ganga bath event, held captive for three days, and repeatedly raped by a neighbor. The incident has sparked outrage, with law enforcement now intensifying efforts to locate the accused.Lured from Ganga Bath EventThe victim, who had returned to her village in Hafizganj for the Ganga bath holiday, attended a fair in Chaubari two days prior. It was there that the accused, identified as Gopali, reportedly convinced her to accompany him to his village, Rajpuri. The victim alleges that the man, a former neighbor who shared a rented house with her in Lucknow, had built rapport through frequent phone calls.Three Days of Captivity and AssaultThe woman claims she was held against her will at Gopalis residence in Rajpuri, where she endured multiple instances of sexual assault. When she resisted, she was physically assaulted. Despite the trauma, the woman managed to escape after three days and reported the ordeal to the local police station.Inspector Abhishek Kumar, leading the investigation, confirmed that a case has been registered based on the victims complaint. He stated, “We are conducting continuous raids to apprehend the accused. Action will be taken as per the law.” The police are combing through nearby areas and intensifying searches to bring the accused to justice.Connections Built in LucknowThe victim had been living in a rented house in Lucknow with her husband, who worked in a factory. The accused, Gopali, resided in the same accommodation, leading to phone conversations that allegedly paved the way for the incident.
