Delhi: Ramkesh Meena, a 32-year-old aspirant preparing for the UPSC exams, lived in Delhi’s Gandhi Vihar. His dream was to become an IAS officer. But his personal life turned dangerous. He shared a live-in relationship with Amrita Chauhan, a forensic science student. Their relationship soured over time. Amrita moved on with Sandeep Kumar, from her hometown Muradabad. This decision became the beginning of Ramkesh’s tragic end.

Amrita’s New Relationship

Amrita distanced herself from Ramkesh and grew close to Sandeep Kumar, who was preparing for the SSC CGL exams. However, Ramkesh held private videos of Amrita, which became the root of conflict. He refused to erase them, while Amrita wanted to completely cut ties. The existence of these videos became a weapon, pushing Amrita to hatch a deadly plan with Sandeep’s help.

The Conspiracy to Kill

To eliminate Ramkesh, Amrita and Sandeep roped in Sandeep’s friend Sumit Kashyap, an LPG dealer from Muradabad. Together, they devised a plan to make Ramkesh’s death look like an accident. The date was fixed—October 6. Their idea was not just to kill but to stage the scene as a fire caused by a gas leak. This way, nobody would suspect foul play.

Murder by Strangulation

On October 6, Amrita and Sumit visited Ramkesh’s residence. Once inside, they attacked him and strangled him to death. Sumit then opened the gas cylinder and placed it strategically, hoping that the resulting explosion would destroy all evidence. Their cold-blooded mission aimed to silence Ramkesh forever and erase all traces of Amrita’s past.

Why Oil and Liquor on the Body?

After strangling him, the killers poured liquor and ghee on Ramkesh’s body. They wanted the flames to spread quickly and make the crime scene unrecognizable. The idea was simple—turn murder into an accident. Soon, a blast occurred, and fire engulfed the room. Outsiders believed it was a tragic accident. But the truth was buried beneath the ashes.

CCTV Revealed the Truth

Delhi Police began their probe and soon doubts surfaced. CCTV footage showed two masked individuals entering the building and leaving just before the explosion. Further investigation revealed these masked figures were Amrita and Sumit. Mobile phone records also matched, exposing their presence at the crime scene. The so-called accident was unmasked as a premeditated murder.

A Burnt Body and Broken Dreams

Inside the charred room, police found Ramkesh’s burnt body. The fire had destroyed his books, notes, and dreams of becoming an IAS officer. What was once a room of ambition turned into ashes of tragedy. The police pieced together the conspiracy and arrested Amrita, Sandeep, and Sumit. A young man’s journey ended not in success but in betrayal, violence, and death.
