New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a major announcement in the state assembly. He stated that Shiksha Mitras will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹18,000 from April 2026. Until now, they received ₹10,000. This increased amount will be effective from April 1, 2026.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister announced that the honorarium of instructors has also been increased to ₹17,000 per month. Teachers will also receive cashless medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh. Approximately 1.5 lakh Shikshamitras are working on contract in the state.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister stated that a provision of ₹2,382 crore has been made for the CM Composite School. The government is funding 75 percent of the cost for infrastructure development in secondary education. ₹300 crore has been allocated to provide sanitary napkins to female students. Separate funding has been provided to universities for research. A provision of ₹2,382 crore has been made for the CM Composite School.
He also stated that the number of patent filings in Uttar Pradesh has increased to 5,677. He also stated that six commissionerates in the state previously lacked universities, but now universities have been established in all six. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister stated that the government is continuously working in the fields of education and health and will continue to do so.
