Uttar Pradesh: Special Campaign To Begin Tomorrow For Fresh Update Of Voter List, DM To Visit Polling Booths

New Delhi: A special campaign will be launched on Sunday to include names in the Uttar Pradesh voter list, make amendments, and remove the names of deceased and relocated people. Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) will be present at all booths during the campaign from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. A help desk will be set up at each booth to assist voters.

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Navdeep Rinwa stated that Form 6 will be filled out to include names in the voter list, Form 7 will be filled out to remove names from the list, and Form 8 will be filled out to make changes to names and photographs. The District Magistrate (DM) and Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) will conduct surprise inspections at all booths to assess the situation. Booth-Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by all political parties will also assist in adding names to the voter list.

In the special campaign, the draft voter list of 12.55 crore people released on January 6th will also be shown to the public. They will be able to check whether their name is on the list. If it is missing, they can immediately fill out Form-6. Youth in the state who will turn 18 on January 1st, 2026, will be able to fill out Form-6 to get their name included in the voter list. Voters can also fill out the online form through the ECI.net mobile app and the portal voters.eci.gov.in. This is the fourth special campaign, which will be launched on Sunday. Previous special campaigns were held on January 11th, 18th, and 31st.

What about Allahabad?

While 1.156 million voters have been removed from the electoral rolls, 223,283 have applied to become new voters. After the forms are accepted, their names will be included in the final voter list to be published this time. Following the publication of the draft, Allahabad South Assembly constituency received the highest number of new applications, at 32,692. Those who have not yet become new voters and have attained the age of 18 or will turn 18 on April 1, July 1, or October 1 can submit their new voter registration forms at their polling booth on Sunday.

When will Sultanpur publish the Panchayat voter list?

The schedule for the massive revision of the electoral rolls for the three-tier Panchayat elections has been changed. Under this, the process of disposal of submitted claims and objections will be completed by March 16, after computerization of voter lists, mapping of wards at polling stations and downloading photo copies of voter lists etc. will be done by April 13. The final publication of the voter list for the general public will be on April 15. Earlier, the date of publication was fixed on March 28. The order has been issued by the State Election Commissioner.
