Chirag Paswan's Big Revelation: Union Minister Chirag Paswan has once again made big revelation in connection with new Chief Minister of Bihar. Chirag Paswan extending his support for Nitish Kumar, said that Kumar will be selected as Bihar chief minister once again by the elected MLAs after the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. 

Talking to news agency ANI, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) supremo stated that he wanted his father, to become a chief minister or the prime minister. He further stressed that every party wants its leader to become the CM.

Chirag Paswan's Statement

Chirag Paswan was quoted as saying, "In today's situation, many leaders of the NDA alliance have made it clear that we are contesting the elections under the leadership of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, and after the elections, the elected MLAs will once again choose Nitish Kumar as the Chief Minister." 

I want to focus more on Bihar: Chirag Paswan

Further answering a question of whether he sees himself as a contender for the CM post in Bihar, Chirag Paswan told ANI, "I have always maintained that I want to focus more on Bihar. I wanted to contest the Bihar elections, but the prolonged negotiations shifted my priority to focusing on the candidates of my party."

He added, "In the next four to five years, I will try to focus on Bihar even more."

It is to be noted here that Chirag Paswan's party is part of the National Democratic Alliance (consisting of JD-U, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM).

After the recent announcement of seat-sharing formula, Chirag Paswan's party will contest on 29 seats. Meanwhile, BJP and JD-U will contest the Bihar polls on 101 seats each. The HAM (Secular) and the RLM will be contesting on six seats each. 

Notably, Bihar assembly elections willbe held in the two-phase on November 6 and 11. After the Bihar elections, the results will be announced on November 14.
