Winter Returns To North India, Uttar Pradesh To Experience Rain; Know Weather Forecast

New Delhi: Cold conditions have intensified once again in North India. Due to two consecutive Western Disturbances, light to moderate rain and snowfall are expected in the Western Himalayan region from February 1 to 3. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh will experience rain for three days, from February 1 to 3. Cold day conditions will also prevail today and tomorrow. Light to moderate rain is also expected in the plains of Northwest and Central India.

Will winter return to North India?

Following this, a third Western Disturbance will arrive between February 5 and 7, affecting the hilly states. Over the next 24 hours, night temperatures in Northwest India will rise by three to five degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will fall by two to four degrees Celsius.

On January 31, light to moderate rain is expected in some parts of the Western Himalayan region. On February 1, scattered rain and snowfall with thunderstorms and strong winds are expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh, and on February 1 and 2 in Uttarakhand. Additionally, on February 1, Punjab and Haryana-Chandigarh, and from February 1 to 3, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, and from January 31 to February 2, East Rajasthan will experience scattered rain with thunderstorms. Hailstorms are also possible in some areas of East Rajasthan on January 31 and February 1, and in West Madhya Pradesh on February 1.

What about the fog?

Dense fog is likely in some areas during the morning/night hours until February 1 in Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh, and until February in Odisha, and on February 4 and 5 in East Rajasthan. Cold day conditions are expected in West Uttar Pradesh on January 31 and in East Uttar Pradesh on January 31 and February 1.
