National news: Rain is wreaking havoc across the country. From Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir, heavy rain is pouring down from the sky. Due to continuous rain and water released from Haryana, the water level of Yamuna in the country's capital Delhi has reached 207.48 meters, which is above the danger mark. This figure is close to the record level of 207.49 meters in 1978. Today also, rain along with thunderstorm can be seen in Delhi. On 5th September, Delhi can remain cloudy. Moderate rain can also occur. On 6th and 7th, Delhi can also witness rain along with thunderstorm, while on 8th and 9th, the sky can remain cloudy.
The elderly people living in Delhi remember the year 1978 and say that Yamuna had assumed a similar horrific form then. Water was flowing on the roads then. Many posh colonies of Delhi were flooded. People had to leave their homes. They had to take shelter in the upper areas of Delhi.
On Wednesday, residents of Majnu ka Tila, Madanpur Khadar and Badarpur in Delhi have taken shelter in temporary shelters due to rising water levels and are now waiting for the water level to decrease. The administration has evacuated people from low-lying areas to safer places and closed the iron railway bridge for traffic.
It has been raining continuously in Uttar Pradesh for the last few days. This has made the weather pleasant. According to the Meteorological Department, the rainy season is going to continue in the state till September 7. During this time, rain can be seen in different districts of the state. Today, light to moderate rain with thundershowers may occur at some places in the western and eastern parts.
On September 5, there may be rain in both western and eastern parts. On September 6 and 7, light to moderate rain may occur in western UP, while the Meteorological Department has predicted rain only at some places in eastern UP.
There may be light rain in some districts of Bihar today. Today, the Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in 19 districts including West Champaran, Siwan, Begusarai, Patna, Gayaji, Aurangabad and Kaimur, while the remaining 19 districts may receive very light rain.
There may be good rain from September 6. In Jharkhand, it is raining in different parts of the state including Ranchi. Heavy rain may be seen at many places till tomorrow. Today, an orange alert has been issued for 3 districts West Singhbhum, Gumla and Simdega.
There may be heavy rain in MP for three days. An alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department regarding this. Heavy to very heavy rains may occur in many districts of the state. There is a rain alert in many districts including Dhar, Burhanpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Alirajpur and Khargone. There may be rain in Rajasthan for the next two days. Then the pace of rain may slow down in the state. In these two days, there may be rain in all the districts of eastern Rajasthan, while the effect of rain may be less in western Rajasthan.
The weather department has once again issued an alert regarding rain in Punjab. Very heavy rains may occur in many districts of the state. A red alert has been issued regarding this. The weather department has issued an orange alert in Pathankot and Gurdaspur districts, while a yellow alert has been issued in Jalandhar, Amritsar, Rupnagar and Fatehgarh Sahib, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Mohali and Tarn Taran.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in 13 districts of Uttarakhand today. Heavy rain can be seen at many places even after the yellow alert in Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts.
Yellow alert has also been issued for Uttarkashi, Tehri, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Dehradun, Haridwar, Almora, Udham Singh Nagar. There is a yellow alert for rain today in some areas of four districts of Himachal Pradesh, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi and Sirmaur. There may be rain in other districts as well.
