Sports News: South Africa's stand-in captain, Wiaan Mulder, smashed the highest score by a South African international. The right-handed batter scored an impressive 367 runs off just 334 deliveries in the second test against Zimbabwe at the Queen's Sports Club cricket ground in Bulawayo. The skipper's sensational triple-ton included a whopping 49 fours and 4 maximums. After winning the toss and deciding to bowl, the hosts dig a deep hole for themselves. Mulder creates history!

With 367*, Mulder now only stands behind legends like Brian Lara, Mahela Jayawardene, and Matthew Hayden. His monumental score helped South Africa to put up a massive score of 626-5d.

After having scored a commanding triple-ton, the skipper was dominating the scorecard. Nearing 400, everyone thought that Lara's record of 400* would surely be surpassed by Mulder. But the captain thought otherwise. Putting his team first, Mulder decided to declare the innings when batting on 367*. This selfless act has inspired many. His decision to declare the innings proved to be fruitful, as the visitors bowled out the hosts for just a mere total of 171 in the first innings. South Africa has enforced the follow-on.

Protea's domination with the ball

After putting on a massive score on the board in the first innings, South Africa completely dismantled Zimbabwe's batting line-up. All the bowlers were among the wickets. Prenelen Subrayen was the highest wicket-taker, bagging four wickets. He was followed by Captain Mulder and Codi Yusuf, who picked up 2 each.
