Bulawayo: Pakistan, chasing a target of 253 set by India, has lost the wicket of Sameer Minhas. Hamza Zahoor and Usman Khan are currently at the crease. India is looking for the second wicket. Powered by Vedant Trivedi's half-century, India scored 252 runs against Pakistan in the ICC Under-19 World Cup Super-6 match, setting Pakistan a target of 253 for victory. Pakistan needs to achieve this target in 33.4 overs to surpass India's run rate and reach the semi-finals. If India prevents this, they will secure a semi-final berth even if they lose the match.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. Vaibhav's explosive batting initially made the Pakistani captain's decision seem wrong. However, after Vaibhav's dismissal, India lost three wickets without adding any runs. Vaibhav was out for 30 runs. At this point, Team India's score was 47. At the same score, India lost the wickets of captain Ayush and opener Aaron George.
Following this, Vihan and Vedant forged a 62-run partnership for the fourth wicket. However, Vihan, the centurion from the previous match, could only manage 21 runs. With the help of small partnerships, India crossed the 200-run mark. Finally, Khilan and Kanishk added 50 runs in 31 balls.
