India Confirmed to Host Semifinals and Final of ICC Women’s World Cup 2025

ICC Women;s World Cup: There was uncertainty about when and where the semi-finals and final of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 would take place. Both India and Sri Lanka are hosting this tournament, but now Sri Lanka will not host any semi-final or final matches. India, the main host, had initially shared hosting duties with Sri Lanka because of Pakistan’s participation, which left fans guessing about the venues. Until recently, only one semi-final venue was certain, and the locations for the first semi-final and the final remained undecided.

Revised Schedule by ICC

When ICC released the revised schedule, it was announced that the second semi-final would be played in Navi Mumbai. Earlier, three venues were considered for the first semi-final and final, but it was unclear which would be used. If Pakistan reached the semi-finals, the first semi-final was supposed to be held in Colombo. Similarly, if Pakistan reached the final, it would have been held in Colombo too. But now, Pakistan has been eliminated from the tournament.

Confirmed Venues

With Pakistan out of the tournament, it has been confirmed that the first semi-final will take place in Guwahati, while the final will be hosted at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The first semi-final will be played on Wednesday, 29 October, at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The second semi-final will take place in Navi Mumbai on Thursday, 30 October, and the final will also be held in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, 2 November.

Pakistan’s Scheduling Decision

The Pakistan Cricket Board had followed the same approach they used during the Champions Trophy 2025. That is why Pakistan chose to play all their league matches in Colombo. Meanwhile, India played its matches in Dubai.
