Ind vs Eng 3rd ODI: All Eyes on Rohit Sharma as India Face England in Series-Deciding Lord’s ODI (X@BCCI)
London: The 3rd and decisive match of the three-match ODI series between India and England will be played on Sunday at the historic Lord's Cricket Ground. The series is currently tied at 1-1. After registering victory in the first ODI, the Indian team missed even reaching the threshold of victory in the second match. Joe Root's unbeaten 99-run inning in Cardiff gave England a brilliant comeback and now both the teams will face each other to win the series.
Under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, the team will try to win an ODI series abroad for the first time after December 2023. And that too at Lord's. What could be a bigger platform than this? But the work is not easy. In the second ODI, the team lost momentum in the last overs. We will have to fulfil our responsibilities with both bat and ball, only then will we win.
The news is that KL Rahul's return is confirmed. He will handle the middle order. Washington Sundar is injured, Kuldeep Yadav can come in his place. The team management also wants an extra wicket-taking bowler. Bumrah will again lead the attack. Along with him, the famous Krishna and Gurnoor Brar will also be in focus.
Before the series decider, discussions regarding Rohit Sharma's ODI future have intensified. This year his performance has not been as per expectations. In such a situation, this innings played at Lord's will be a great opportunity for him to answer his critics. On the other hand, big innings will also be expected from captain Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli.
