Suryakumar Yadav’s Epic Reply to a Pakistani Journalist: India vs Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025 final is in headlines due to several controversial reasons.  Both the group stage and the Super Four fixture were controversial. Similarly, the India and Pakistan finals held on Sunday in Dubai made many headlines. 

Initially, the India and Pakistan controversy started when Indian team decided not to shake hands with Pakistan after their group stage win. Indian cricket team captain Suryakumar Yadav also decided to not shake hands with Salman Ali Agha during the toss.

A similar incident followed in the Super Four stage, and later after Indian team victory in finals as well. After their historic win in the finals, Indian team refused to accept the Asia Cup 2025 trophy from ACC chairperson Mohsin Naqvi.

When Suryakumar Yadav roasted Pakistani journalist

Another controversial event occurred during the post-match press conference. During the press briefing, a Pakistani journalist questioned Suryakumar Yadav that do you think that in the history of cricket you are the first captain who has brought politics into the game of cricket? Reportedly, Suryakumar Yadav, who was present along with the opener Abhishek Sharma, gave a befitting reply to the journalist.

What Pakistani journalist said?

The Pakistani journalist asked, "You became the champion today and played a good game. But my question is that in this entire tournament, your behaviour towards Pakistan cricket team; you didn't shake hands and didn't do the photo session for the trophy. Then you held a political press conference. Do you think that in the history of cricket you are the first captain who has brought politics into the game of cricket?"

Suryakumar Yadav's Reply

At first, the Indian cricket captain, asked, "Bolna hai ya nahi bolna hai? (Should I answer or should I not answer?)"

Later, he trolled the reporter for getting angry, and said, “Gussa ho rahe ho aap (you are getting angry) (laughs).”
