Thiruvananthapuram: India defeated New Zealand by 46 runs in the fifth match played at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday. With this victory, India won the five-match T20 series 4-1. In the fifth match, India scored 271 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs, thanks to a powerful century by Ishan Kishan. In reply, despite a strong innings from Finn Allen, the New Zealand team could only manage 225 runs before being all out in 19.4 overs.

Chasing a target of 272 runs, the New Zealand team got off to a strong start. However, Arshdeep Singh dismissed Tim Seifert in the first over, who scored 5 runs. Finn Allen was dismissed after scoring 80 runs off 38 balls, including 8 fours and 6 sixes. Allen and Rachin Ravindra shared a 100-run partnership for the second wicket off 48 balls.
