India vs South Africa: Explosive batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a power packed century during the third ODI against South Africa on Wednesday. India Under-19 team captain Vaibhav Suryavanshi thus scored his first century of the series.
Vaibhav is in brilliant form against South Africa. In the previous match, he scored a blistering 68 runs off 24 balls and played a crucial role in securing the team's victory. In the third ODI, Vaibhav Suryavanshi completed his century in 63 balls. During his innings, he hit 5 fours and 8 sixes. In the third ODI against South Africa, Vaibhav Suryavanshi added more than 200 runs for the first wicket with Aaron George.
Earlier, in the second Youth ODI against South Africa Under-19, Vaibhav, while captaining the side, scored 68 runs off just 24 balls. He scored a half-century in 15 balls, which is the fastest in Youth ODIs. He hit 10 sixes and only one four in his innings, with 64 runs coming from boundaries, making it difficult for the South African bowlers to stop him.
He surpassed the previous Indian record held by senior Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, who achieved this feat in 18 balls. Thanks to this innings, India won the second match by 8 wickets and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
Earlier, Vaibhav Suryavanshi played an explosive innings of 190 runs off 84 balls for Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. This included 16 fours and 15 sixes. He completed his century in 36 balls and 150 runs in 54 balls, which is a world record for the fastest 150 in List A cricket (breaking AB de Villiers' previous record). He also became the youngest player to score a century in List A cricket. With this innings, Bihar set a world record for the highest team total in List A cricket, scoring 574/6.
