Guwahati: Former champions Rajasthan Royals will take on defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru in an IPL 2026 clash at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Friday. Both Rajasthan and Bengaluru have remained unbeaten in this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) so far. Rajasthan has won all three of its matches, whereas RCB has played only two games to date. Today, either RR or RCB will taste defeat for the first time.
Like most pitches at the IPL's Barsapara Stadium, this one is also a good wicket for batting—something both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi have demonstrated through their performances. The Royal Challengers' batting lineup also features some formidable hitters capable of capitalizing fully on the conditions. Due to rain earlier this morning, there may be some moisture in the pitch; consequently, the team that wins the toss might opt to field first. To date, a score of 200 runs in a single innings has never been recorded at this venue in the IPL.
