Preity Zinta’s Serious Conversation With Shreyas Iyer Goes Viral After Punjab’s Sixth Straight Loss

Dharamshala: The bad phase of Punjab Kings in IPL 2026 is not ending. This was the team's sixth consecutive defeat as it lost to RCB in Dharamshala on Sunday. The scene that happened after the match added fuel to the fire. Preity Zinta went straight to Captain Shreyas Iyer on the field. The conversation between the two was captured on camera. Preeti's face was red. Shreyas was just standing with his head down. Then the photo went viral and the memes started on social media.

What happened in the match?

Nothing special, same old story repeated. Punjab's batting again failed and even the bowling took a beating. RCB batted first and scored runs. In reply, Punjab batsmen came and kept going. Some were out after scoring 20 runs, some out after 15. It was as if the middle order had never arrived. Packup was done in the 19th over itself.

The players were shaking hands as soon as the match was over. Just then Preity Zinta reached Shreyas in tears. She said something but Shreyas did not look up even once and just kept shaking his head. People standing nearby were also watching. Now whether Preity scolded or explained, only she knows. But from the body language it seemed that the atmosphere was tight.

Why is the team's condition so bad? 

The team won almost all the initial matches. It seemed that this time the team would lift the cup but after that the series of defeats started and did not stop. There were consecutive defeats in 6 matches. The biggest problem is that no one is able to score runs in the middle overs. And in the last 4 overs the bowlers concede 50-60 runs every time. There is no strength in captaincy either.
