Former Nepal cricket team captain Sandeep Lamichhane has received a reprieve as Nepals Patan High Court acquitted him of rape charges. After the courts ruling, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has reinstated Lamichhane in the national team for the T20 World Cup. After the accustaions, a Kathmandu court sentenced him to eight years in prison earlier this year. However, when the arrest warrant was issued, he absconded, prompting a search by Nepal Police with the assistance of Interpol.
