New Delhi: Ireland pulled off a historic upset in Belfast, defeating world champions India by 1 run in a thrilling 2nd T20I to secure a 2-0 series whitewash. The stunning victory successfully snapped India’s legendary 16-series unbeaten streak, marking the Men in Blue's first bilateral T20I series loss since 2023.

Ireland beat India again, by one run at Stormont. This is their second win in two days. The series is done in which Ireland wins 2-0. On Friday, they won by 34 runs. On Sunday, they won by one run.

What happened in the match?

The 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi was left out again. Everyone expected him to play and the crowd wanted to see him. But he stayed on the bench, same as Friday. Ireland batted first. Harry Tector scored 53 and Benjamin Calitz made 37. They got 154 for 8 in 20 overs. Tilak Varma scored 55 and Harshit Rana made 21. They got 153 for 9.

Who were the stars?

Jai Moondra took 3 wickets. He was a debutant. He was born in India but moved to Ireland to study. Now he is their hero. Matthew Hollard took 3 wickets too. He is also new to the team. Injuries to other players gave him a chance. Moondra dismissed Sanju Samson with the first ball. Then he got Abhishek Sharma. Then he got captain Shreyas Iyer. India was 19 for 3.
