Ahmedabad: Shivam Dubey smashed a fifty for India in just 25 balls in the T20 World Cup 2026 match against the Netherlands. Dubey came in to bat at number five. India's score was 69 for 3 in 9 overs at the time. The Dutch bowlers were not allowing the Indian batsmen to play freely. Suryakumar Yadav was struggling. Shivam Dubey took his time after coming in.
Shivam Dubey had scored just 6 runs off 11 balls in his debut innings. When Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed, Dubey's score was 23 runs off 16 balls. By the 15th over, he had scored 26 runs off 19 balls but reached his fifty in 25 balls. Dubey hit a six in the 16th over. In the 17th over, he hit two sixes and a four to complete his fifty.
Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube shared a 76-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Hardik contributed 30 runs off 20 balls. Dube smashed 43 runs off just 15 balls before being dismissed in the final over. Shivam scored 66 runs off 31 balls. This innings included 6 sixes and 4 fours. This is Dube's highest innings in T20 International cricket.
Apart from Shivam Dube, no one else in India's innings played well. Ishan Kishan scored 18 runs off 7 balls in the powerplay, but Tilak Verma faced 27 balls to score 31 runs. Captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 34 runs off 28 balls. Hardik Pandya scored 30 runs off 21 balls. But due to Dubey's innings, India put 193 runs on the board.
