Mumbai: The West Indies became the first team to reach the Super 8 in the 2026 T20 World Cup. They achieved this feat by defeating Nepal by 9 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. The West Indies have won all their three group matches at the T20 World Cup 2026, leading their group with 6 points, and have qualified for the next stage.
The Caribbean team defeated Scotland comprehensively in their first match. They then crushed England in their second match, defeating them by 30 runs. The Caribbean team defeated Nepal in their third match today.
The 2026 World Cup is being jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. History bears witness to the fact that the conditions in India and Sri Lanka suit the West Indies.
