New Delhi: The Indian team faces England in the semi-finals of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. The teams will clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 5. The semi-final match is being played between India and England for the third consecutive time in the T20 World Cup. In the tournaments held in 2022 and 2024, both the teams faced each other in the semi-finals. We tell you the results of both those matches.

What was England's victory margin in Adelaide?

England won this semi-final match held at Adelaide Oval by 10 wickets. With the help of Hardik Pandya's 63 runs and Virat Kohli's 50 runs, India scored 168 runs for 6 wickets. England chased down the target with four overs remaining. Alex Hales scored 86 runs in 47 balls while Jos Buttler scored 80 runs in 49 balls. The England team had also won that tournament.

What happened  in Georgetown, Guyana?

In 2024, India and England met in the semi-finals in Georgetown, Guyana. Rohit Sharma played an inning of 57 runs and Suryakumar Yadav played an inning of 47 runs, taking India to 171 runs. The England team was all out for just 103 runs in the 17th over. India won the match by a huge margin of 68 runs. Kuldeep Yadav and Akshar Patel took 3-3 wickets while Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets. The Indian team also won the T20 World Cup 2024 by winning the final.
