'Can't Walk Properly': Six-Year-Old Girl Assaulted in Delhi, Family Demands Strict Action

Delhi: The incident that happened with a six-year-old girl in Delhi's Bhajanpura area on the evening of January 18 has troubled the entire locality. According to the police, three minor boys are involved in this case. Two have been caught, while the third is still absconding with his family.

According to the mother, when the girl returned home in the evening, there was blood on her clothes. She fell at the door itself. When she regained consciousness she said that she had fallen. At the same time, a boy living nearby also came there and said that the girl had slipped. But Mother did not believe it. When the child was asked gently and lovingly, she cried and told what happened to her.

The family says that the girl had gone out with her father some time ago. The father had left her at the turn of the street. Three boys lured her to eat something and took her to a nearby empty building.

After the incident, the family went straight to the police station and the girl was taken to the hospital. The police investigated the place where the incident took place and collected necessary evidence. Two boys, aged 10 and 13, were captured the next day. They were presented to the Child Welfare Committee. The third boy, whose age is said to be 14 years, has not been found yet.
