New Delhi:  A three-storey building suddenly collapsed on Sunday afternoon in Satya Niketan area of Delhi. There was panic in the area after the accident. Many people are feared buried under the debris. As soon as the information was received, the fire department, Delhi Police and relief teams reached the spot. The debris is being removed and the people trapped inside are being searched. Initial information has also revealed that a hostel or PG was running in the building for the students to stay.

At what time did the accident happen and when did the relief team reach?

Delhi Fire Service received information about the building collapse at around 1:30 pm. After this, fire brigade vehicles and police teams were sent towards the spot. Within a short time, the police surrounded the surrounding area and people were moved away from the debris. Along with removing the debris, rescue workers are trying to find out how many people may be trapped inside.

Were students also living in the building?

Satya Niketan is an area near the South Campus of Delhi University. Here a large number of students coming for studies from different parts of the country live in PGs and hostels.
