New Delhi: The owner of the Delhi hotel where a fire tragically claimed the lives of 21 people has been identified. The hotel owner's name is Lavkesh Bajaj. However, the Delhi Police are also currently searching for two of Lavkesh's partners. A team from the Delhi Police has reached Lavkesh's residence.

Where Raids Conducted to Arrest the Hotel Owner?

The police have formed multiple teams to apprehend the hotel owner. Officials stated that police teams are conducting raids across various parts of Delhi in an effort to locate and arrest the suspect. The Delhi Police has already registered a case under the charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder in connection with the Malviya Nagar fire incident.

Are Preparations Underway to Issue LoC?

The Delhi Police is preparing to issue a Look Out Circular (LoC) against Lavkesh Bajaj and the other accused individuals. This measure is being taken to ensure that they do not flee the country. The Delhi Police itself issued a statement confirming this development.

How Many People Are Undergoing Treatment?

According to sources, three partners are involved in the operation of the hotel, and they reportedly own several other hotels and guest houses across the city. It is worth noting that 21 people lost their lives in the fire incident that engulfed the multi-story 'Lemon Green' restaurant building in Malviya Nagar, Delhi. Of the 47 people rescued, 26 are currently undergoing medical treatment.

Were Delhi Police Personnel Also Injured?

According to information received from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, 13 patients were brought to the hospital. The AIIMS Delhi Trauma Centre further stated that 10 of these patients are rescue personnel—all of whom are members of the Delhi Police force. They were the first individuals to enter the burning building. Separately, the Delhi government has directed officials to identify buildings that are operating in blatant violation of safety regulations.
