Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar Takes To The Streets Of Rajendra Nagar

New Delhi: To strengthen law and order in the capital and to maintain security confidence among common citizens, Delhi Police has taken up the cause of public relations and ground surveillance. In this series, Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar along with Special Police Commissioner (Law and Order Zone-1) Devesh Chandra Srivastava visited Rajendra Nagar police station area of ​​Central District. During this, the officers not only took stock of the security arrangements of the area but also interacted directly with the local residents, Prahari volunteers and students to understand their problems and security related needs.

Meeting with RWAs to discuss local problems

The tour began with an interaction with members of the regional Resident Welfare Association (RWA). The officials discussed with the local people the problems of the area and issues related to public safety and policing. The objective of this dialogue was to listen directly to the public and make the police system more effective as per the needs of the area.

Sentiment boosted by giving kits to volunteers

After this, the police commissioner and other senior officers met the sentry volunteers of Rajendra Nagar police station. On this occasion, Sentinel kits were distributed to the volunteers. Officials underlined the importance of citizen participation in community policing. Emphasis was laid on strengthening cooperation between the police and the public and increasing security-related vigilance at the local level with the participation of Prahari volunteers.

Foot patrolling in Nehru Park, security system tested on ground

During the visit, senior officials inspected Nehru Park and conducted foot patrolling in the surrounding area. During this, the security arrangements of the area were reviewed at the ground level. Police presence in public places, regular patrolling and direct contact with ordinary citizens were given priority. The purpose of this activism of the officers was to strengthen the visual presence of the police along with monitoring the security arrangements in the area.

Conversation with students near police booth

After the visit to Nehru Park, the officials also interacted with the students near Rajendra Nagar police booth. During the dialogue, the importance of their security awareness and maintaining contact with the police when needed was discussed. Students were encouraged to be aware of public safety issues and contact police if they become aware of a problem or suspicious activity.

In this program, Joint Commissioner of Police Central Range Madhur Verma along with Deputy Commissioner of Police of Central District, Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police and other senior officers and policemen also took active participation.
