New Delhi: The weather changed in Delhi from Sunday night. Dense fog covered the city, and visibility was limited to a few meters in many areas. Its effect was also visible at Indira Gandhi International Airport. A low-visibility system had to be implemented. The airport administration said that flights are operating, but passengers should confirm the timing and status with their airline before traveling.
Passenger Advisory issued at 23:00 hours.

Most flights are currently in operation, but there is a possibility of delay. Many passengers have received messages from airlines, informing them about time changes and possible delays. Takeoff clearance is taking time on some routes. Staff say conditions are weather dependent, and conditions can change within minutes.

The air quality also deteriorated along with the fog. At around 11 pm, AQI was recorded at 404, which is considered a dangerous category. This level increases the risk for patients related to respiratory, heart, and lung issues. Doctors have advised to avoid going out in the morning and use masks.

Visibility remained very low at many places in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad in the morning. Vehicles are moving very slowly on the highway. Many people have shared videos on social media in which roads are seen disappearing in a layer of smog. School-going children and office-going people had to face problems.
