The family of the victim, Surya, is refusing to perform his last rites. They want an encounter of the accused first. They are also demanding bulldozer action on the accused's property.
The dispute started over a bike. Accused Asad had recently bought a new motorcycle. Surya asked to ride it. Asad refused. An argument broke out. Asad then stabbed Surya multiple times.
Police have arrested three accused so far in the case. Surya's body reached home after post-mortem around 2 pm. A large crowd had gathered outside the house. The family stood firm on their demand.
According to a firsthand account by the victim's friend, the main accused, Asad, lured them to his house under the pretext of showing them the sacrificial ritual (Qurbani).
"When we reached Asad's house, he offered us meat. We politely declined, stating that we do not consume meat. Right at that moment, Asad pulled out a knife and plunged it directly into Surya's stomach, I rushed a critically injured Surya to the emergency ward of Fortis Hospital in Noida and alerted the family. Unfortunately, Surya succumbed to his injuries during treatment.," the victim's friend told.
