New Delhi: Delhi Police's Dwarka District team has successfully reunited a 26-year-old missing woman with her husband and three-and-a-half-year-old daughter after tracing her to Bhiwadi in Rajasthan. The woman had been missing for nearly two months. The operation, conducted under the police initiative ‘Operation Milap’, brought an emotional reunion for the family, with the young daughter meeting her mother after a prolonged separation.
According to DCP Dwarka Kushal Pal Singh, the woman, originally from Darbhanga in Bihar, lived in Sector-1 JJ Colony, Dwarka. She had been missing since September 5, 2026. Since she did not possess a mobile phone, tracing her whereabouts proved challenging for the police.
The police team initially faced difficulties despite using technical surveillance and gathering information from local sources. Officers conducted searches and raids at different locations in Rajasthan and Haryana on two occasions but returned without success.
However, the investigation continued, with police examining the woman's bank account transactions to identify fresh leads. These financial details eventually helped investigators narrow down her location. During a subsequent search operation, the team traced her to Bhiwadi in Rajasthan.
During questioning, the woman told police that she had left home following an argument with her husband and in-laws. She did not allege any harassment or other untoward incident during her interaction with the police.
After completing the necessary legal formalities, officers reunited her with her husband and young daughter. Following discussions, both the husband and wife mutually agreed to resume their married life and start afresh.
The operation was carried out under the directions of DCP Dwarka Kushal Pal Singh and the supervision of ACP Kishore Kumar.
The police team included Sub-Inspector Rajat Malik, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sanjeev and Woman Constable Sonam Chaudhary. Their sustained efforts and follow-up investigation helped trace the missing woman and facilitate her reunion with her family.
