Water Cooler Sparks Fire At Muthoot Finance Branch, Six Fire Tenders Rush To Spot

New Delhi: Panic gripped the GD Colony area of ​​Mayur Vihar-3 on Monday evening following reports of a fire at the Muthoot Finance office. The Fire Department received the alert around 7:47–7:48 PM. Upon receiving the news, the department immediately mobilised its resources to tackle the situation.

Three water tenders, two water mist vehicles, and one multi-purpose fire vehicle were dispatched to the scene. The fire had broken out at the Muthoot Finance premises located at A-1231, Block GD Colony, Mayur Vihar-3. Firefighters arriving at the site swiftly initiated firefighting operations.

The firefighting team included Assistant Divisional Officer Yashwant, Station Officer Anoop, and Section Officers Ravinder and Jai Bhagwan. By approximately 8:15 PM, the Fire Department confirmed that the blaze had been brought under control.

Preliminary information suggests the fire originated in a water cooler. A major disaster was averted as the fire was contained in time. No casualties have been reported. The exact cause of the fire and details regarding the extent of the damage will be clarified following the Fire Department's subsequent report.
