Haryana: An awareness campaign was conducted at the General Bus Stand in Ratia to educate the public about road safety, prevention of cybercrime, emergency services, and the harmful effects of drug abuse. During the campaign, passengers and pedestrians were informed about the Rahveer Scheme and encouraged to provide timely assistance to people injured in road accidents.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajendra Kumar of the Traffic Police Station said that helping injured people during road accidents is a humanitarian responsibility and that timely assistance can save lives. The public was also informed about the Dial-112 emergency service and guided on how to seek immediate police assistance in case of an emergency.
During the awareness programme, passengers were also informed about important cyber safety precautions. They were advised not to click on unknown links or share OTPs, bank account details, ATM/debit card information, or other confidential details with anyone. People were also encouraged to immediately report incidents of cyber fraud.
In addition, the police urged youngsters, passengers, and pedestrians to stay away from drugs, adopt a healthy lifestyle, and actively contribute to building a drug-free society. The police team appealed to the public to remain vigilant and also spread awareness among their families and people around them about road safety, cybercrime, and the harmful effects of drug abuse.
