MP Crime: Student Trapped and Sexually Assaulted in Locked Room

Madhya Pradesh: A student in Kharagon, Madhya Pradesh was arrested for raping another student. He called her to his sports field, assaulted her, and threatened to kill her if she told anyone. The victim is studying commerce in Indore. She knew the accused, Maheen, before the incident.

What exactly happened?

On June 17, Maheen called her and asked her to come to his sports field on the outskirts of the city. When she got there, he showed her around the field. Then he said it was hot and asked her to sit inside an air-conditioned room to talk. Once went inside, he locked the door.

What was in the complaint?

According to the complaint, Maheen beat her and raped her against her will. He covered her mouth while hitting her. He threatened to kill her if she told anyone about it.

What happened next?

The victim came home upset. Her family noticed something was wrong and asked what happened. She told them everything. They immediately went to the police and filed a complaint. Police arrested Maheen at the same day. On Saturday, he was brought to court. The judge sent him to jail pending trial.
