Bhopal: The state-level Labour Control Room launched by the Madhya Pradesh Government’s Labour Department is delivering encouraging results by ensuring quick and effective resolution of labour-related grievances of workers and employees across the state.
Workers can register their complaints by calling the toll-free number 1800 233 8888, where prompt action is being taken on every grievance.
As of January 30, the Labour Control Room has received 115 complaints, out of which 86 cases have been successfully resolved. The remaining 29 complaints are under process, and instructions have been issued to concerned district officials for early resolution.
Labour Minister Mr. Prahlad Singh Patel stated that the department is committed to ensuring fair, transparent and time-bound action on every complaint under relevant labour laws. Continuous monitoring is being done to maintain accountability at all levels.
• Non-payment or delayed payment of wages
• Complaints related to the Minimum Wages Act
• Disputes regarding termination, suspension and service conditions
• Issues related to working hours, weekly offs and overtime
• Grievances of women workers, contractual employees and unorganised sector workers
In addition, workers can seek information or lodge complaints related to Labour Welfare Boards, Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Unorganised Workers Welfare Board, and various social security schemes run by the Labour Department.
