AAP Punjab, Kabaddi Stars, Bhagwant Mann
The Aam Aadmi Party received a major boost as internationally acclaimed kabaddi player Kinda Biharipuria, popularly known as “Cheetah” in kabaddi circles, officially joined the party along with several other distinguished personalities from the sports fraternity and social sector. The joining ceremony was held in Chandigarh, where the new members were warmly welcomed into the party fold.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s OSD, Rajbir Singh Ghuman, formally welcomed the new entrants and congratulated them on becoming part of the Aam Aadmi Party.
He stated that the increasing support from respected sportspersons and youth leaders reflects the growing faith of people in the governance model and welfare-oriented policies of the AAP government.
Among the notable personalities who joined the party were international kabaddi players Kinda Biharipuria, Jeeta Badalgarh, Babbu Jhaneri and Saima Ghrachon. Kabaddi players Malkit Singh and Barinder Singh also became members of the party, further strengthening AAP’s connection with Punjab’s sporting community.
The party also welcomed well-known referee Satgur Jhaneri and international kabaddi commentator Kulbir Timberwal. Prominent youth leaders Amrinder Singh Rorian and Satnam Singh Virk joined the party as well. Manjot Singh and Hardeep Singh were also inducted into the Aam Aadmi Party during the event.
Addressing the gathering, Rajbir Singh Ghuman said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government has consistently worked for the welfare of all sections of society, especially youth and sportspersons.
He expressed confidence that the inclusion of these respected personalities would strengthen the party at the grassroots level and help carry its message to more people across the state.
The newly inducted members stated that they were deeply impressed by the transparent, honest and people-focused governance model of the Bhagwant Mann government. They highlighted the government's initiatives in education, healthcare, employment generation, sports promotion and public welfare as key reasons behind their decision to join AAP.
The new members said they are eager to contribute to Punjab’s development and work alongside the government for the welfare of the people.
They expressed confidence that the Aam Aadmi Party’s vision and policies would continue to bring positive change across the state and create better opportunities for future generations.
