Gangsters Being Used To Threaten Punjabis While BJP Govt In Gujarat Continues To Protect Lawrence Bishnoi: Baljit Kaur

Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) strongly condemned the cowardly attack on the house of renowned Punjabi artist Diljit Dosanjh’s manager. AAP stated that this attack was not just on an individual, but an attack on citizens' security and democratic values.

What did Harpal Singh Cheema say?

Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema stated, “Just a few days ago, the BJP had invited Diljit Dosanjh to join their party, which he outrightly rejected. Just two days after this refusal, an attack took place at his manager’s house, and Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for it. This is not a mere coincidence. It clearly shows that the BJP is now using gangsters to intimidate the country’s leading celebrities and businessmen.”

He shared that the same Lawrence Bishnoi who claimed responsibility for the attack is lodged in Sabarmati Central Jail in Gujarat where the BJP government is in power. “It is extremely shameful that a gangster is orchestrating criminal activities while sitting inside a high-security prison. Is this possible without government patronage? The BJP is conspiring to disturb peace in other states with the help of gangsters, and this must be stopped immediately,” he asserted.

The cabinet minister further stated that this incident has completely exposed the BJP’s “anti-Punjab” mentality. The BJP is targeting those Punjabi artists and personalities who are not willing to bow before them. The repeated attacks on celebrities clearly show that the BJP is becoming the biggest threat to democracy and security in the country. He warned the Central Government and the Gujarat administration to immediately stop this bloody game being operated from jails.

Meanwhile, Cabinet Minister Dr. Balbir Singh also condemned the attack. In a post on his X account, he wrote, “First, the BJP tried to use Punjab’s biggest artist for its politics. When he refused, suddenly the Bishnoi gang attacked his manager’s house. The same BJP government in Gujarat is providing complete protection to Lawrence Bishnoi. Punjab has seen enough. BJP’s anti-Punjab face now stands completely exposed.”

Minister Baljit Kaur wrote, “The timeline is before everyone. BJP tried to associate Diljit with itself. Diljit clearly refused. A few days later, bullets are fired outside Diljit’s manager’s house, and the Lawrence gang claims responsibility. On the other hand, the BJP government is protecting Lawrence Bishnoi in Gujarat and is not even allowing proper questioning of him. Gangsters are being used to intimidate Punjabis. BJP’s anti-Punjab mindset now stands completely exposed before everyone.”

Ministers Ravjot Singh, Harbhajan Singh ETO, Hardeep Singh Mundian, Lal Chand Kataruchak, Gurmeet Singh Khudian, and State Media Incharge Baltej Pannu also condemned the attack through their social media handles.
