Telangana: 60 Goats Run Over By Train While Crossing Tracks

Around 60 goats have died after being run over by an oncoming train while crossing the railway tracks, officials have confirmed.

The incident took place in the Dornal village in Dharur Mandal of Vikarabad district. According to officials, the goats belonged to a shepherd named Kishtappa.

“60 goats were hit by a train while they were crossing tracks at Dornal village, Tharoor mandal today. 60 goats died on the spot,” officials told ANI.

Further investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.

Telangana goat tragedy follows Uttarakhand goat deaths in March

The incident in Telangana is reminiscent of the incident in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi, where around 350 goats were hit by a lightning strike and died.
