Horrific Road Accident In Baghpat: 13 People From Budaun Dead On Eastern Peripheral Expressway

UP: A horrific road accident took place late Monday night on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. 13 people from Badaun district died in the accident, while more than 20 people are said to be injured. The dead include seven people from the same village. There is mourning in the area after the accident.

What is the whole matter?

According to the information, more than 100 people from different police station areas and villages of Badaun district had gone in four pickup vehicles to visit Jaharveer Baba in Gogamedi, Rajasthan. After darshan everyone was returning back to Badaun. Meanwhile, a pickup met with an accident on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway of Baghpat.

Jaisingh alias Sadhu, his wife Munni Devi, Prem Singh, Bhagwati, Murthy, Rameshwar and Avneesh, residents of Allapur Chamari village of Alapur Kotwali area, died in the accident. Apart from this, Jitendra, 12 year old son of Nempal, resident of Madarpur village of Zarifnagar police station area and Munim, 17 year old son of Anand Veer, resident of Rasool village of Binawar police station area, also lost their lives in the accident.

How many people were injured in the accident?

Information about more than 20 people getting injured in this tragic accident has come to light. The injured include many people including Mansi, Sultanashree, Premwati, Nepal, Anmol, Anand Veer, Chhatrapal, Dilip, Yadaram, Khushi, Soni, Pradeep, Kunwarpal, Maheshadevi, Akhilesh, Sindhu, Than Singh, Rajeshwar, Kallo and Arun Kumar. All the injured are being treated in different hospitals.

Diksha and her son Saurabh of Sarai Mudiya Kadi village of Muzaria police station area, Begmati of Nizampur village of Ujhani Kotwali and Sugan Pal of Chetu Nagla village also died in the accident.

Why was there mourning in Allapur Chamari village?

After receiving the news of death of seven people from the same village in an accident, there was mourning in Allapur Chamari village of Badaun. After receiving the information, SDM Sadar Sai reached Asrit Shakmuri village and met the families of the deceased.

According to the officer, all the people had gone to Gogamedi, Rajasthan to have darshan of Jaharveer Baba and were returning back to their homes after the darshan. 13 people were reported dead in the accident in Baghpat, out of which seven were residents of Allapur Chamari village.

When will the bodies be handed over to the relatives?

According to the administration, post-mortem of the dead bodies is being conducted. After this, the process of handing over the dead bodies to the relatives will be completed. At the same time, treatment of the people injured in the accident is going on. Necessary action is being taken by the administration regarding the families of the injured and the deceased.
