CM Yogi Conveys Message of Womens Empowerment Through Prayers to Maa Kushmanda (Prem Kaushik)
Lucknow: On the Chaturthi of Sharadiya Navratri, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered his prayers to Maa Kushmanda and conveyed a message of creation, energy and prosperity to the people of Uttar Pradesh. He said that when women are empowered with strength and opportunities, deprivation transforms into hard work, hard work leads to self-reliance, and self-reliance ultimately results in prosperity.
He added that women in the state are no longer merely beneficiaries of government development schemes but are emerging as builders of the rural economy and key contributors to the future of a new India.
In a post on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister said that before 2017, women in Uttar Pradesh had limited access to opportunities and resources. Questions were also raised about the policies and intentions of the government at that time.
He stated that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state’s double-engine government is connecting rural women with new pathways to self-reliance. The government aims to empower women economically and encourage their active participation in the development process.
Yogi Adityanath said that Banking Correspondent (BC) Sakhis are playing an important role in strengthening banking services in villages. Meanwhile, women associated with the Lakhpati Didi scheme are establishing a new identity through financial independence.
He also highlighted the contribution of Drone Didis, who are helping promote the use of modern technology in agriculture. In addition, self-help groups and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) are expanding livelihood opportunities, entrepreneurship and agriculture-based employment for rural women.
The Chief Minister emphasised that women’s roles in the state are no longer confined to family responsibilities. They are not only driving the rural economy but are also leading the development journey of a new Uttar Pradesh.
Efforts to connect women with employment, technology and economic activities are helping strengthen self-reliance in rural areas. Yogi Adityanath concluded that Uttar Pradesh can become truly prosperous and empowered only when women in its villages achieve prosperity.
