Agra: Indian Railways organised a Rail Jan Samvad programme at 16 designated railway stations in the Agra division on Thursday to gather passenger feedback and improve the quality of railway services. Railway officials interacted directly with travellers, listened to their complaints and collected suggestions concerning cleanliness, passenger amenities and service standards.
The initiative was conducted under Special Campaign 6.0 on the directions of the Railway Board. Officials instructed the concerned departments and staff to take appropriate action on the issues raised by passengers.
At Agra Cantt railway station, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Gagan Goyal spoke with passengers about the difficulties they faced during their journeys and invited suggestions for improving facilities.
According to the railway administration, most of the complaints raised during the interaction were resolved on the spot. Goyal also directed the relevant officials to address the remaining concerns and work towards improving passenger convenience.
The programme aimed to strengthen communication between railway authorities and passengers so that practical issues could be identified and addressed more efficiently.
Passengers were asked to fill out feedback forms to record their experiences and suggestions. Railway officials said the responses would help guide future improvements in passenger amenities and service quality.
A street play was also staged at Agra Cantt to encourage passengers to maintain cleanliness at railway stations and inside trains.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Ankit Gupta, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer Rahul Shukla, Station Director Santosh Kumar Tripathi and other railway officials and employees were present during the programme.
At Mathura Junction, Station Director Sunil Kumar Sharma interacted with passengers, listened to their grievances and gathered feedback about their travel experiences. Feedback forms were also distributed to collect suggestions.
At Idgah railway station, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Girish Kumar Gupta and Senior Divisional Operations Manager (General) B.S. Chauhan met passengers and discussed the problems they encountered during their journeys.
Officials at the participating stations were instructed to forward issues to the relevant departments and ensure that necessary action was taken.
