Ayodhya: As the investigation into alleged irregularities in the donation of Ram Temple is progressing, new revelations are coming to light. After interrogating Avinash Shukla, one of the main accused in the case, the investigating agencies have found clues which indicate that this entire matter was not limited to a few employees. The investigation team is now probing the role of five more people. Police and SIT believe that the alleged misappropriation of donation amount continued in a planned manner over a long period of time.

Was Avinash Shukla the mastermind of the entire network?

According to the investigating officers, Avinash Shukla has given many important information during the interrogation. It is alleged that he not only devised the method of theft but also involved other employees in it. The investigation has also revealed that allegedly with the help of relatives and outsiders, a complete network was set up, which used to systematically withdraw the donation amount. However, the police is still investigating who was the ultimate operator of this entire network and at what level the decisions were taken.

Which five people are now the focus of the investigation?

According to sources, the SIT has identified five people whose role is considered suspicious. Preparations are underway to interrogate these people and if necessary, notices can also be sent to them. The investigating agencies are trying to find out whether these people were directly involved in cash embezzlement or were working to provide operation and security to the entire network. At present there has been no official confirmation of the arrest of any new person.

What has come to light so far in the investigation?

Police investigation has so far revealed clues related to cash, gold, silver and foreign currency worth more than Rs 77 lakh. A large amount of cash has been recovered from the hideouts of the accused. During the investigation, it has also come to light that the maximum amount was received from Avinash Shukla. Officials believe that the full amount of theft has not been revealed yet and the process of recovery may continue further.

Why were questions raised on CCTV and surveillance system?

The investigation has also revealed that the alleged accused were fully aware of the location of the CCTV cameras and the weaknesses of the surveillance system. It is alleged that he used only those places where surveillance of cameras was limited. Apart from this, the investigating agencies are also considering the arrangement of keeping the CCTV footage safe for a limited period as a big mistake. This was the reason why the alleged fraud could not be detected for a long time.

Considering the seriousness of the case, the Uttar Pradesh government has given additional time to the SIT to complete the investigation. The investigating agencies are now closely examining the bank transactions, assets, digital records and role of the suspicious people. The administration says that after the completion of the investigation, if the involvement of any other person comes to light, then action will be taken against him as per law.
