Noida: A tense situation erupted in the Phase 2 area of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday. A large number of employees of a company gathered to protest, demanding a pay raise. The situation escalated during the protest, with some people vandalizing vehicles and property and even pelting stones.

On Sunday, the District Magistrate stated that sector, zonal, and static magistrates have been deployed in anticipation of potential protests. Certain sensitive areas have been identified and officers have been specifically deployed there to prevent any untoward incidents. He has instructed all industrial units to compulsorily post the guidelines issued by the administration on notice boards to avoid any confusion among workers.
