Chamoli: The doors of Badrinath Dham located in Chamoli, Uttarakhand were opened for devotees on Thursday. With this, the world famous Char Dham Yatra started completely. The doors of the temple opened at 6:15 am on Thursday with Vedic chanting and full rituals, with this the darshan of Lord Badri Vishal began.
The doors of the Badrinath Temple were opened for devotees at 6:15 am on Thursday, following all the rituals. As soon as the doors opened, devotees started chanting "Jai Badri Vishal" and "Laxmi Mata" with full devotion. Devotees from not only the country but also abroad have come to visit on this auspicious occasion. As soon as the doors opened, a stream of devotees streamed into the temple complex, a truly amazing sight.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also attended the Badrinath Temple portals opening ceremony.
On the auspicious occasion of the opening of Baba Badrinath's portals, Pushkar Singh Dhami interacted with pilgrims and said that today the doors of Shri Badrinath Dham have been opened for the devotees with rituals and Vedic chanting.
“Char Dham shrines have been ceremonially opened, and today the doors of Lord Badri Vishal have also been opened. Efforts have been made to ensure proper arrangements for all devotees. Even before the start of this year’s yatra, preparations were already underway, and all necessary arrangements have been organised for the arriving pilgrims. Despite continuous snowfall, all arrangements have been put in place. All devotees and pilgrims are welcome, and good arrangements have been made by the temple committee to ensure a smooth yatra," he said.
The Char Dham Yatra began on April 19 with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines. On the fifth day, the doors of Badrinath shrine opened. A day before, on April 22, the doors of Kedarnath shrine opened.
This year, the Badrinath Temple has been decorated in a very special way. Nearly 25 quintals of flowers have been used to adorn the entire shrine, enhancing its beauty. Significantly, for the first time, the floral inscription "Om Lakshmipati Namo" has been inscribed. Sacred messages like "Jai Badri Vishal" and "Vaikuntha Namo" have also been engraved with flowers, attracting the attention of devotees.
