After a man, identified as Pravesh Shukla, was arrested for allegedly urinating on a tribal man on camera, the Madhya Pradesh government initiated a ‘bulldozer action’ to demolish the illegal properties of the accused. The statement for the ‘bulldozer call’ was given by Home Minister Narottam Mishra on Wednesday.

While confirming Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government’s action, the minister said that the act was “inhumane and condemnable.”

Since the urinating video went viral, it has become the talk of the town and landed in a political conversation. The accused is said to be associated with the ruling BJP government and the local party MLA, while he was being interrogated by the police on Tuesday night. However, the party has refuted all the links with him.

BJP MP Kedarnath Shukla said that the accused wasn’t associated with the BJP while condemning the latter’s act.

In a statement, he said, “Pravesh Shukla, the person who was caught urinating on a tribal’s face, wasn’t associated with the BJP.”

Case filed against Pravesh Shukla

The police have registered a case against the accused, Shukla under NSA (National Security Act), sections 294 and 504 of the IPC, as well as under provisions of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities).

Whilst, Shukla is in police custody, his father Ramakant Shukla said that his son had been associated with the BJP for the last several years. He also claimed that a conspiracy was hatched to implicate his son in a fake case.

Speaking to the media, Ramakant Shukla said, “I can’t understand why MLA (BJP) Kedarnath Shukla said Pravesh isn’t working for him. In fact, he is an MLA representative even at present. My son has been associated with the BJP and he was very close to Kedarnath Shukla for the last several years.”

Meanwhile, Congress decided to stage a massive protest against this pee-gate act, calling it ‘shameful.’
