New Delhi: Attention Bharat Gas Users! It has become mandatory for Bharat Gas customers to complete their eKYC. Failure to complete the eKYC process before June 30, 2026, may lead to disruptions in LPG subsidy disbursement and gas supply services. Learn how to link your details from the comfort of your home.

Why is eKYC Essential?

Nowadays, the government and oil companies are placing a greater emphasis on digital verification. For this reason, Biometric Authentication-based eKYC is being made mandatory for LPG customers. This initiative will help curb fraudulent connections and ensure that subsidies reach the intended beneficiaries.

What is an Easy Way to Complete eKYC from Home?

The best part is that customers no longer need to make repeated trips to their gas agencies. Bharat Gas users can now complete their eKYC in just a few simple steps from home using the 'HelloBPCL' app. If this task is not completed within the stipulated time, customers may face difficulties in receiving their gas subsidies.

What is the Complete Process for Completing eKYC via the HelloBPCL App?

Step 1: If you are a Bharat Gas customer, you can easily complete your eKYC using your mobile phone from home. To do this, you will only need the 'HelloBPCL' app and a mobile number that is linked to your Aadhaar. First, open the Google Play Store or Apple App Store on your phone. Search for 'HelloBPCL,' then download and install the app.

Step 2: After opening the app, enter your registered mobile number. You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your number; enter this OTP to log in. Ensure that you use the specific mobile number that is linked to your Bharat Gas connection. Once logged in, you will see an 'LPG Services' or 'Bharat Gas' section on the app's homepage. Click on it.

Step 3: You will now see an option labeled 'eKYC' or 'Biometric Authentication.' Tap on it. Next, enter your Aadhaar number. Subsequently, you may receive an OTP on the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. Enter the OTP to complete the verification process. In some instances, Fingerprint or Face Authentication may be required. For this, you may need to visit a nearby gas agency or an authorized center.

Step 4: After entering all the correct details, press the 'Submit' button. Your eKYC process will then be completed. Once the eKYC is successful, you will receive a confirmation via SMS or an App notification. Following this, your Bharat Gas connection and LPG subsidy will continue without any interruption.
