IPhone 18 Pro Max, IPhone 18 Pro Will Launch In September With 5 Major Upgrades Over 17 Pro Models

New Delhi: The Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is gearing up for its next major launch, and a steady stream of leaks is slowly revealing the features of the iPhone 18 Pro series. While nothing is official yet, early information suggests Apple may release a major update to the iPhone this year, perhaps to mark its 50th anniversary. 

Will the design be familiar?

Apple will likely keep the same design as the iPhone 17 Pro, featuring the same bold camera setup. However, reports suggest that last year's dual-tone style could be replaced by a clean, single-tone finish. According to Instant Digital, a new Deep Red or burgundy colour could also be launched, while the classic black variant may once again disappear.

What about chip and battery life?

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to feature Apple's new A20 Pro chipset, built using 2nm technology. This could mean significant improvements in both performance and efficiency. The iPhone 18 Pro Max could also feature a slightly larger battery, possibly exceeding 5100 mAh, which should provide users with greater convenience in everyday use.

What about the Dynamic Island?

According to reports, Apple is planning to reduce the size of the Dynamic Island by approximately 35 per cent. This change could be due to moving a portion of the Face ID system below the display, making the cutout less visible. Display sizes will remain the same, with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch OLED panels that will support ProMotion with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

What are the changes in the camera?

The iPhone 18 and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to retain the triple 48MP camera setup, but there's talk of a variable aperture on the main sensor, giving users more control over lighting and depth. Low-light photography could also be improved thanks to new sensor technology supplied by Samsung.

What about Siri?

Apple is set to further enhance its AI capabilities with iOS 27. The new Siri will feel more conversational than before, and may use Google's Gemini model. The goal is simple: make Siri smarter so you don't have to rely on external apps for complex tasks.

When will it launch and expected price?

The iPhone 18 Pro models could launch during Apple's regular September window, between September 3 and 9, alongside a foldable iPhone. Pricing is expected to be around last year's models, though nothing is confirmed yet.
